LEGO women scientists

One of my first posts on this blog talked about the announcement that LEGO have developed a set of women research scientists. Well – now they are available to buy! Or at least theoretically, if they are not already sold out. Since the end of last week they also have their own Twitter account, and ca. 18000 avid followers. Archaeologist Donna Yates from the University of Glasgow has been reliving scenes of her daily research / academic life with her newly acquired LEGO female scientists and with it obviously strikes a chord with many other LEGO fans in the science world. Read her account here of how she attempts to “smash gender stereotyping one brick one brick at a time. Great stuff – here are a few of my favorites so far.
